Tips for Presentations

The articles and books you gather for your presentation will give you the facts and information you need to explain the topic to your reader.

  • The same as in your assignments, you should cite it to give credit to the author regardless of whether you are using a quote or paraphrasing the information.
  • Indicate that you have used the ideas and written material belonging to other authors in your own work both in the text of your presentation
Cite direct quotes, paraphrased text, images, tables, video, etc. on the appropriate slide, just like an in-text citation.
  • Include a reference list at the end of your presentation.

"Write it Right" are the official referencing guidelines for the Institute and they will help you to reference correctly and avoid plagiarism.
