The purpose of these discipline specific pages is to showcase content that might be of interest to faculty who are considering adopting open educational resources for use in their classes. This list of content is by no means exhaustive, and more resources will be continually added.

The nature of open educational resources is very collaborative and it is in that spirit that we encourage any comments about the content featured on this page or recommendations of content that are not already listed here.

Open Textbooks

OER Commons
Education textbooks from early college through graduate levels.
Open Textbook Library - Educational Psychology
The site includes one book, Educational Psychology. "In general the first half of the book focuses on broader questions and principles taken from psychology per se, and the second half focuses on somewhat more practical issues of teaching."
MERLOT- Education
Education textbooks with a further subject breakdown. Advanced search function provides quality search options.
Open SUNY Textbooks - Education
Open SUNY Textbooks is an open access textbook publishing initiative established by State University of New York libraries and supported by SUNY Innovative Instruction Technology Grants. This pilot initiative publishes high-quality, cost-effective course resources by engaging faculty as authors and peer-reviewers, and libraries as publishing service and infrastructure.
BCcampus OpenEd
Openly licensed textbooks created or revised by faculty from British Columbia's post-secondary institutions. Collection includes the title, "Teaching in a Digital Age".
